It came to my mind this idea since there is no way to check installed version of a program, only if a file is present. Maybe you could add a way to check against MD5 checksums, so that way we could know it a desired version of a program is installed.
Thi idea came to my mind when I was choosing programs to install and couldn't remember is Internet explorer 9 was installed or not and since it's a program that comes with the OS, you can't use the check for exe file present...
I hope you can add this feature or something to do the same thing. Also a good thing would be to be able to determine Windows Version so that way we can set different ini files depending on which OS is installed.

Thnxs in advance for all and hope you can do something about it

But there are a lot of IE9 versions after updates.
And it's possible to check at least file version (hover mouse under exe or dll).
Not all exe contain this information but most of them.
Maybe I'll this kind of implement version check.

Well that way maybe if its possible to check for version lower than X to install, but I guess that way you'll need to find a way to query infos from files...

It's not a problem to query such file version info but as I said before not all exe has this info (if author forgot to put it).

I've been playing a lil bit more with this and I realized if you could add app install status, I mean, somekind of debug mode where you can add a tag such as
Status=WIP, TEST ór OK
where depending on status you get the app installer name in different colors so you can note it and just skip it when you're still working on it but using with those you know they work ok

I hope there's something you can do about it and waiting for next release with all the stuff you said you were going to implement on next release
