The software product is really great and easy to use. Thank you very much! I'm a registered user my email is "jkthanku@gmail.com".

I have a problem to open the database file. Let me describe the problem.

I got the registration file after I sent $10. Now I'm a registered user. Everything is ok and I'm satisfied with the software. When I bought a new pc I download and install a new notebook to it. Also I think I can use the registration file again and I used it. Then I copied the database file from the old pc to the new one. When I tried to open the database file it got error message saying "Error opening database. May be file is corrupted or opened in another copy of Mars Notebook."

I really don't know why and how to resolve it. Please help! I'm waiting your response.

Hm, looks like your database was damaged while you transferred it into another computer, may be a BSOD and unexpected shutdown?
Try to start

Code: Select all

Notebook.exe yourbase.mnb /repair
but be sure your database is not opened in another instance of Mars Notebook.

I'm sorry I can't open the database. So I can't use the "repair" option. Do you have any other ways to rocover it?

You don't need to open it for repair.
Just use Start -> Run...
and enter: Notebook.exe /repair yourdatabase.mnb

You need to put full path there, for example:
"C:\Program Files\Mars Notebook\Notebook.exe" /repair "C:\My Documents\yourdatabasefile.mnb"

Thanks! I have done it. But I got error message "Invalid file format. Found signature: ' ??, expected: 'MARS_SOFTWARE_DB' - Native error: 10470.".
How can I repair it? I hope I can resolve it with your help. Because I have important messages stored in the notebook.
