One thing I think of when I think of what it must be like for the developer is, what motivates him to keep working on really awesome new features (like embedding files..)

Which makes me think maybe there could be a more expensive version of Mars, Mars Professional, to help motivate the developer to add those features.. but then obviously it separates the 2 versions and may take away from what makes Mars so great.. it is packed with features, looks good and its cheap.

I've been doing a lot of research on Outliners and will be cranking Mars Notebook tonight. Here are the feature requests/suggestions I have so far..

-- Export to PDF option (i know this one is on the way)
-- View/Edit Source Option - in Wiki markup or HTML code
-- Lock Toolbars option to prevent accidently dragging a la WinXP Taskbar
-- Autosave options
-- Embed/Attach files to pages in Mars, a la WinOrganizer
-- Templates for pages with custom input boxes/forms for storing a series of similar info on things, like websites or contacts
-- Ability to import icons and/or more icons!
-- Ability to change icon of the top of the tree (the open notepad)
-- Make CTRL-S actually save, instead of the stay on top!!! I'm a compulsive CTRL-S'er in all programs I use after I input something..

-- View/Edit Source Option - in Wiki markup or HTML code
What?

-- View the source code of the page, to clean up the formatting etc if needed
-- Lock Toolbars option to prevent accidently dragging a la WinXP Taskbar
Yes

-- Cool!
-- Embed/Attach files to pages in Mars, a la WinOrganizer
Not yet, sorry.

-- this makes me a sad panda :(
-- Make CTRL-S actually save
No need[/quote]

Make CTRL S not do a "stay on top" ? CTRL S is usually Save in programs, and I keep doing CTRL S and making it stay on top which is very annoying. Maybe another shortcut for this???

Also the best way to explain the source code thing would be to refer to WikidPad - how you can see the wiki source and the rendered copy.
